So, you have an interest in old bottles. You join many others in New Zealand and indeed throughout the world. Once again, we go back to a time when true craftmanship existed. Many of the bottlers were small family run businesses. Prior to the early 1900's most of the bottles were individually handmade. Each one is unique.

Click on the titles to the left for further specific information.

My interests are mainly centred around the "soft water" industry, in specific Grey & Menzies and associated companies. Most of my own information on the pages you see on your left will be in connection with the mineral water, soft drink, soda pop - whatever you like to call it - industry.

With your assistance this page will become a reference point for information regarding the bottlers & the containers they used. Some of the reference material I am using to establish these pages is quite dated. I would appreciate any updated information. All information contained in these pages should be verified. Currently I am working on the principle that a start has to be made somewhere and I would be delighted to have inaccuracies pointed out to me.
