Mr H N (Harry) Wolfe (who died in 1977 at age 71) took as a job in 1927 as a bottle washer with Pike & Waters. In 1935 he took over the business on a lease arrangement, and subsequently purchased it with his brothers Stuart & Stanley. At that stage there were 11 soft drink companies in Taranaki. In the 1940's  they purchased the business of carl Brieseman. In 1964 they merged with D J Malone Ltd to form Western Bottling Co Ltd.
